OVERNIGHT CAMPERS: To be finalized - likely early afternoon (12:30-2:30 time frame)

Check-in will be at the dorm which will be noted here once it is confirmed by the University

 

DAY CAMPERS: To be finalized - likely early afternoon (1:00-2:30 time frame) at Mark Freitas Ice Forum (on campus rink)

 After completion of your game on Friday, August 3rd - to be finalized, but likely between 2:30-5:30 p.m. depending on which team the camper is on.

 

 

Camp cost is $595 for overnight; $475 for day camp

 

Schedule:

We are putting together the 2018 schedule. Times listed below are not final.

 

The campers will be organized into 5-6 teams. Campers will find out which team they are on at check-in. We always have last minute adjustments to team assignments so it is difficult to finalize sooner.

If you want to see an example of a schedule to get an idea of the day to day routine for the camp, please take a look at last year's which can be found here. Again, this is just an example and we are working to finalize the 2018 schedule which WILL change. 

What you need to know for planning:

Check-in on the first day for overnight campers will be between in the early afternoon on Weds., Aug 1 ** this may change but ideally we are shooting for this timing

Camp dismissal for overnight campers on the last day will be early afternoon, likely between 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. depending on when the last game of the day is for a particular camper. ** this may change but ideally we are shooting for this timing

Drop off each day for day campers will be as follows:

  • Day 1 - Wednesday, Aug 1: 1:00 ish p.m. at rink
  • Day 2 - Thursday, August 2: 8:30 a.m. at rink *time to be finalized later, this is just an estimate
  • Day 3 - Friday, August 3 - 8:30 a.m. at rink *time to be finalized later, this is just an estimate

Pick up for day campers will vary each day - between 6-8:45 p.m. depending on what time the team finishes that the camper is on.

Camp dismissal on the last day, Friday, August 3rd will be at 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. depending on what time the team finishes that the camper is on. ** this may change but ideally we are shooting for this timing

 

 

Overnight Camp - $595 (covers entire camp, all three days)

Boarding: 
For the College ID Showcase, participants will be housed in a dorm on the University of Connecticut campus.  The air-conditioned dorm rooms will be shared by a teammate. Specific requests to board with a teammate can be made on the registration form.

There will be adequate supervision in the dormitories. Additionally, the University of Connecticut will position an employee at the dorm.

Each camp participant is required to sign a code of conduct of expected behavior at the camp, while participating in all aspects of the camp. Camp counselors will be with participants every step of the way to enforce the code of conduct.

Upon check-in, each camp participant will receive an ID/security card that will allow him to access dorms, dorm room, and will also serve as a meal card. Dorms will not be able to be accessed after 11 p.m. each evening and camp counselors will conduct a bed check upon curfew that is set.

Food:
Meals are included in the price of the camp.  As a boarder, the participant will receive the following meals:

  • Dinner on check-in day (August 1)
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner on 2nd day (August 2)
  • Breakfast, lunch on last day (August 3)

Meals will be served at a dining hall to be confirmed by University.

What to bring:

  • We will provide a CT Elite Hockey showcase jersey for the team assigned; you will need to bring your own hockey gear including sticks and tape. Helmets must have a full face shield. Skate sharpening will be available for $5.
  • Linens are provided, including sheets, a blanket and towels. The rooms will also be airconditioned. 
  • You will need to bring toiletries.
  • Water and snacks for dorm room if desired
  • Change of clothes for attending meals, and seminars; work out clothes for strength training sessions
  • Dorm rooms have free WiFi and Ethernet wall connections for the boarders use.

There is a food court on campus in the student union, as well a a student book store for essentials/snacks. There is also a game room in the student union.

Allergies/Medication:
Participants must inform CT Elite Hockey of current allergies and/or medication on the registration form. The camper will be responsible for administering any medications throughout the camp.  As necessary, camp counselors will be informed of allergies and medications to be alert to any issues.


Day Camp - $475 (covers entire camp, all three days)

Day campers will check in on the first day in the early afternoon at the rink. Day campers will be required to report to camp each day at the following times:

  • Day 1 - Wednesday, August 1: 1:00 p.m. at rink *this is just an estimate, we will be finalizing schedule as it gets closer to camp
  • Day 2 - Thursday, August 2: 8:30 a.m. at rink
  • Day 3 - Friday, August 3 - 8:30 a.m. at rink

Dismissal will vary each day depending on which team your camper is on and will occur at the rink. 

  • Day 1 - Wednesday, August 1: Between 6:30-8 p.m. at the rink.
  • Day 2 - Thursday, August 2: Between 6:30-8 p.m. at the rink
  • Day 3 - Friday, August 3: Between 2:30-5 p.m. at the rink  

**these times may change; we are still working on each day's schedule, but loosely we are aiming for these times
