Check-out for all campers will be at the rink after completion of your game on Tuesday, July 31 - The games will end at 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. 

 

Camp cost is $595 for overnight; $475 for day camp

CT Elite Hockey has prepared a comprehensive showcase for its Prep Division that will provide hockey players (Birth years 2004-2006 with opportunities to enhance their game. 

Each team will have two practice sessions and three games. Each showcase participant will also take part in off-ice training and informative seminars.  Last year's seminars were focused on nutrition, social media use, and recruiting. The camp will be divided into four teams. Campers will find out which team they are on at check-in on the first day. We have so many last minute changes that it's difficult to finalize sooner.

CT Elite Hockey staff will conduct all on-ice practices.  The games will feature coaches from various prep schools.  In the past, coaches from the following schools were present:

 


Schedule:

A tentative Prep Division schedule will be posted at the camp start. This includes the flow of each day, including times for meals, practices and games. Right now we have the 2018 Schedule is posted so you can see how the flow of each day went for last year's Prep Division campers.

What you need to know for planning:

Check-in on the first day for overnight campers will be from 10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Snow Dorm in the South Dorm Complex. Please use this check in information for the best drop off instructions.

Dismissal on the last day will be at 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. or 1 p.m. Your camper's dismissal time is dependent upon his teams' last game. We will inform each camper what team they are on at check-in and you will be able to determine dismissal time. 

Check-in on the first day for day campers will be between at the rink from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m

Tentative drop-off and pick up times each day for day campers will be as follows:

  • Day 1 - Sunday, July 29: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. drop off at the rink; 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:45 p.m. pick up
  • Day 2 - Monday, July 30: 8:45 a.m. at the rink drop off; 5:45 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
  • Day 3 - Tuesday, July 31: 8:45 a.m. drop off at the rink; 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 1 pm

 

Overnight Camp - $595 (covers entire camp, all three days)

Boarding:
For the Prep Division overnight camp, participants will be housed in Snow Dorm in the South Dorm Complex at the Connecticut campus.  The air-conditioned dorm rooms are suites and have two bedrooms that sleep two people each, a connected living space and bathroom. Specific requests to board with a teammate can be made on the registration form. You can go into your registration at any time and update the roommate request field. 

There will be adequate supervision in the dormitories. Additionally, the University of Connecticut will position an employee at the dorm.

Each camp participant is required to sign a code of conduct of expected behavior at the camp, while participating in all aspects of the camp. Camp counselors will be with participants every step of the way to enforce the code of conduct.

Upon check-in, each camp participant will receive an ID/security card that will allow him to access dorms, dorm room, and will also serve as a meal card. Dorms will not be able to be accessed after 11 p.m. each evening and camp counselors will conduct a bed check upon curfew that is set.

Food:
Meals are included in the price of the camp.  As a boarder, the participant will receive the following meals:

  • Boxed lunch at check-in; Dinner on check-in day (July 29)
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner on 2nd day (July 30)
  • Breakfast (July 31)

Meals will be served at a designated on-campus cafeteria for the Connecticut Elite Hockey showcases.

What to bring:

  • We will provide a CT Elite Hockey showcase jersey for the team assigned; you will need to bring your own hockey gear including sticks and tape. Helmets must have a full face shield. Skate sharpening will be available for $5.
  • Linens are provided, including bed sheets, a blanket, a pillow and a bath and hand towel. The rooms will also be airconditioned. 
  • You will need to bring toiletries.
  • A refillable water bottle; there are water bottle stations all around campus to refill water bottles at. Cases of water discouraged as they are cumbersome to bring up to dorm and to the rink w/ all other gear and disposal/storage gets tricky.
  • Change of clothes for attending meals, and seminars; work out clothes for strength training sessions
  • Dorm rooms have free WiFi and Ethernet wall connections for the boarders use.

Pocket money for the Student Union would be a good idea. There is a book store, a food court, game room on campus. 

Allergies/Medication:
Participants must inform CT Elite Hockey of current allergies and/or medication on the registration form. The camper will be responsible for administering any medications throughout the camp. If bringing medication to the camp, this form needs to be completed. This is the only form that the state requires us to have.  As necessary, camp counselors will be informed of allergies and medications to be alert to any issues.


Day Camp - $475 (covers entire camp, all three days)

  • Day 2 - Monday, July 30: 8:45 a.m. at rink; pick up at 5:45 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
  • Day 3 - Tuesday, July 31: 8:45 a.m. at the rink; pick up at 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m.
