For Overnight and Day Campers

Prep Division Showcase @ UConn July 29 - July 31, 2018

OVERNIGHT CAMPERS (continue to scroll down for Day Camper check-in information):

10:15 - 11:00 a.m.  Sunday, July 29: Check-in at Snow Dorm

  • The online address for Snow Dorm and the South Dorm Complex will lead you into construction. Do not use that address (626 Gilbert Rd. Extension)

  • You need to go to the "S" parking lot behind the dorm complex for drop off.

  • There is no exact GPS address for the parking lot, but it is right beyond the buliding address for UConn's School of Fine Arts.

    • Use that GPS address instead: 830 Bolton Rd. Storrs, CT.  Just go up the road past the School of Fine Arts and S-LOT is on your right

  • We will have hockey staff at the corner of Bolton Rd. and S-Lot to help you find your way.

  • The dorm drop off will be quick - the camper will check-in to the dorm with their personal gear, and then either walk or get driven to the rink to check-in there with their hockey gear.

  • The University does not ticket on Sundays. You are good to stay parked at SLOT or to park in the rink lot.

  • This map shows you the best way to get to the rink from the dorms by foot or car.

  • If you miss the dorm check-in (ends at 11 a.m.) just go directly to the rink.

  • Rink GPS address is 509 Jim Calhoun Way, Storrs, CT

  • Once the camper gets to the rink, they will find out which team they are on and get a locker room assigned. They will put their hockey gear in that locker room.

  • Kids will receive a box lunch at the rink check-in.

  • The opening meeting will start at 12:00 p.m. in the stands inside the rink. Parents are welcome to stay if they would like. There is no ticketing on Sundays so parents are safe to park in the rink lot without getting ticketed.

  • Parents, friends, relatives are invited to watch any of the practices and games, but parking in the rink lot between during the day is restricted to commuter students (even during the summer) and could be ticketed.  Parking is recommended in the South Parking Garage <http://park.uconn.edu/visitor.html>, which is 0.3 miles from the rink.

  • Dismissal on Tuesday, July 31 will be after the camper's game. Dismissal times will likely be between 3:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. We are still finalizing the schedule.

  • Campers will find out which team they are assigned to at check-in at the rink.

What should overnight campers bring?
